Notificaciones electrónicas

Never miss a letter from Hacienda again.

Spanish public bodies send their most important notices electronically, and companies are legally required to receive them that way. We check the DEHú and the relevant sede electrónica every working day and add new notifications to your inbox, with an English summary and the deadline.

The 10-day rule

Under Ley 39/2015, article 43, an electronic notification that isn’t opened within ten calendar days is deemed delivered and rejected. The procedure carries on, and deadlines to pay, reply or appeal run as if you’d read it.

In practice, an unpaid fine can move to enforcement with a surcharge, or a request for documents can lead to an assessment, without you having seen the notice.

Setting it up

  1. Step 1

    Authorise us

You grant Hola Post representation through the Registro Electrónico de Apoderamientos, so you never share your digital certificate or Cl@ve password with anyone.

  2. Step 2

    We check daily

Every working morning we check the DEHú and each sede electrónica for new notifications on your NIF or CIF, and open them as your representative.

  3. Step 3

    You’re told the same day

The PDF, an English summary, the amount and the deadline go into your inbox, and your gestor gets a copy if you want.

If you already have a gestor, we can share notifications with them. You can withdraw our authorisation at any time.

Questions about Spanish notifications

More detail in our guides to the DEHú and the 10-day rule.

What is a Spanish electronic notification?
An official notice from a Spanish public body, such as the AEAT, Seguridad Social or DGT, that is delivered through an online portal instead of by post. It has the same legal effect as a letter.
Where do Spanish electronic notifications arrive?
In the DEHú (Dirección Electrónica Habilitada única) and in each body’s own sede electrónica. The DGT also uses its own electronic address, the DEV. You need a digital certificate, Cl@ve or a representative to open them.
What happens if I don’t open a notification within 10 days?
Under article 43 of Ley 39/2015, the notification is treated as delivered and rejected once 10 calendar days pass without it being opened. The procedure continues and the deadlines to reply, pay or appeal start to run.
Do I have to receive notifications electronically?
Companies, other legal entities and certain professionals must. Individuals can usually choose, but the AEAT and Seguridad Social can require some people, including many autónomos, to receive them electronically.
Do I need to give Hola Post my digital certificate?
No. You authorise Hola Post as your representative through the Registro Electrónico de Apoderamientos, so your certificate and Cl@ve password stay with you. You can withdraw the authorisation at any time.
Can I use the notification service without your address?
Yes. The notification service works for your NIF, NIE or CIF wherever your post goes, although most customers use both.

Stop worrying about the post.

Sign-up takes about five minutes, including the ID check. You can use your address as soon as you’re verified.
